About Our Discipline Process
We want all of our campers to have a lot of fun while they are with us. Our instructors will gently establish camp rules and positive boundaries to ensure that every child is comfortable in their environment. Should the need arise, our goal is not to punish with negative reinforcement or “time outs,” but to redirect children from a disruptive behavior to something that does not impede the other campers from participating in the camp. Our instructors will make every effort to patiently and positively resolve situations. Certain behaviors such as hitting, repetitive direct defiance, and engaging in behaviors that put themselves and other children at risk may be dealt with more urgently. We will work to keep parents of any behavioral issues in our camps and to come up with strategies that will ensure your child has a great time at SASH. Please inform us ahead of time if there are any specific behavior strategies of which we should be aware. The director of SASH retains the right to dismiss any child from camp that refuses to cooperate with all reasonable efforts to correct behavior.

Extended Care
- If you wish for your child to participate in Extended Care, you do not need to register ahead of time. Please see our Extended Care section for pricing and more information.
Camp Staff
- Each member of our staff undergoes a detailed hiring process that includes: background checks and fingerprinting, personal interviews, and a thorough three week pre-camp training.
Snacks and Meals
- Snacks: SASH will provide a snack for all campers at 10:00AM and 3:00PM. Be sure to note any food allergies on the registration page
- Lunch: As SASH does not provide lunch for campers, all campers enrolled in Afternoon Camp must bring their own lunch, which will be stored in their cubbies. Lunches are served at 12:30 and all meals must be labelled with the camper’s name and correct date. Please contact your instructors if you will pack food that needs refrigeration.
What to Pack?
Packing List: Please bring the following in a backpack
- At least one change of clothes including underwear, close-toed shoes, and a bathing suit (if water play is involved that day.)
- A Water bottle, Lunch (if attending Afternoon Camp), a comfort toy (to help with being left at camp). Please clearly label all items with your child’s name.
Allergies and Medications
- Please give us detailed information on any allergies that your child has. This is important so that we know how to properly respond in the event of an allergic reaction.
- Please let us know of any medications your child is currently taking during their stay at SASH, and if they will need to take any doses while camp is in session.
