Working as an instructor for Summer At Sacred Heart is so much more than just a “summer camp job.” It gives you the opportunity to approach your work with a “missionary attitude,” and be an example of Christ to each other, and the campers with whom you work.
Prior experience working with children is not required, as we will ensure you have proper training to design and lead a camp. We want you to bring your unique talents, abilities, and bright personalities to help make SASH a great place to spend the summer!
Instructor training starts on May 30. Camps start on June 19 and run all the way to August 4.
The hourly rate starts at $13 per hour! Most positions at SASH are 35-40 hours per week.
If you don’t live in the Winchester area, we can set you up with a host family from Sacred Heart of Jesus parish
If you will be a rising junior in high school through a rising senior in college for the 2021/2022 school year…
We are not accepting applications at this time. We have filled all available slots. If you are a rising 8th through 12th grade student, you may volunteer at SASH.
Employment Forms
If you are hired, you will be required to complete mandatory forms which will be emailed to you.
Training
Instructor training will begin on Tuesday, May 30. This training will last for three weeks. If you have a conflict with school, you may begin training as soon as your schedule allows. Our training gives the staff a chance to get to know each other and to receive required diocesan training. Don’t be nervous if you’ve never been in front of a group before! We will give you the tools you need to be a successful SASH instructor!
